We all TRY to maintain a healthy lifestyle by eating right and exercising. However, sometimes the clock is against us and we find ourselves in the drive-through of our favorite fast food restaurant. While it is convenient, it is hard to lose weight while eating out of a take-out bag.
The people over at The Home Remedy Shop recently put together a calculator to show us how much exercise we need to do to burn off the calories from our normal fast food meals. The calculator is simple to use. All you have to do is put in your weight and what you ate from their restaurant list. Then, voila! Your workout plan appears.
The results are ALARMING.
Let’s take one of there examples here, McDonalds. One of the most popular meals from McDonalds is the Big Mac. Add a large fry and a coke (it is only a dollar more) to your lunch and you’ve reached a total calorie intake of 1,330. For an average woman, you’d only have to do 6 hours and 57 minutes of yoga to burn that off. Or, you can run for 2 hours and 47 minutes. Yikes.
The Home Remedy Shop gives several more examples on their website, or you can create your own workout plan by visiting the website.
So, how do you save yourself from the hours of exercise needed to burn off all these calories? Plan ahead. Pack your lunch the night before to resist the temptation for the easy (higher calorie) route.
