Let’s get this out of the way here at the top:

This blog post will not make you blush.

You and I both understand that there are plenty of ways that topics like this can be illicit, explicit, naughty, tongue-in-cheek, or otherwise titillating.

That’s not my goal.

I’ve simply been curating good fitness ideas from coworkers and others around the web that – when executed properly – can help you feel more attractive and more attracted to your partner.

See? Simple as that. So here goes.

Exercise Is Exciting

Generally speaking, exercise is good for your love life. In fact, Dr. Cindy Meston, PhD, found that women are more sexually responsive following 20 minutes of vigorous exercise.

“Exercise activates the sympathetic nervous system, which encourages blood flow to the genital region,” she says. “It’s better than a glass of wine or a bubble bath.”

With that in mind, let’s discuss a few specific exercises that can help you enjoy a happier Valentine’s Day.

Pilates and Yoga

Pilates and yoga encourage flexibility and offer you unparalleled opportunities to quietly learn how your body moves – and how those movements affect how you feel.

Strength Training

Weight lifting and strength training tone muscle. The results can look sexy – and meanwhile, it can build a self-confidence that FEELS sexy. And that’s really so much more important to both you and your partner, isn’t it?

Belly Dancing

C’mon, it’s fun. And specialized belly dancing-inspired workouts are proven to be helpful in improving flexibility in the hips and pelvis.

This is all fine and good, but sometimes it’s best to find ways to exercise together. Finding the time and making the effort to do so will likely result in enjoyable shared experiences. And there’s nothing sexier than enjoying each other’s company.

Taking Walks Together

While a brisk walk is great for your heart – it’s the heart-to-heart conversations you can share that will benefit your romance.

Doubles Tennis

Working as a team helps to re-establish the sense of ‘us-against-the-world’ that you likely felt as a young couple.

Dance Lessons

The salsa is undeniably sexy.  Am I wrong?
