There are a few basic general instructions that go along with the Mediplan Diet program.  These instructions are subject to modification based on your consultation with our weight loss professionals.  Let’s have a look at our most common instructions.

Our Weight Loss Program General Instructions


Eat Breakfast by 8:00 AM

Start your morning off with a healthy breakfast.  Aim for a fairly large but also balanced meal. Choose foods that are high in protein and try to consume about half of your daily calories in the morning when your metabolism is working its best. Don’t be afraid to end your breakfast with something sweet either like a banana, cantaloupe or Greek yogurt. Protein contributes to feeling full and eating sweet foods early will decrease your carb cravings throughout the day.

Take Your Medication On Time

If you are taking a prescribed appetite suppressant, you should take it at 10:00 am – 10:30 am.  It should be taken on an empty stomach with a full glass of water.


You Must Eat

Even if you do not feel hungry, you must eat.  Follow the prescribed diet plan with the appropriate amount of caloric intake as directed.


Reduce/Avoid Caffeine and Alcohol

Drinks that contain caffeine or alcohol are full of hidden calories.  These should be limited or avoided while on the weight loss program to ensure weight loss success!

Drink your water!

Staying hydrated is critical for weight loss success.  Water intake is critical for weight loss success!  You should drink eight (8), 8 oz. glasses of water per day. Drinking plenty of water daily boosts your metabolic rate. It is important to drink water 30 minutes before eating to make you feel fuller so you won’t be able to eat more calorie foods.


Exercise Is Necessary

When you are trying to lose weight, diet is only part of the key to success.  Daily exercise is also important.  Aim for at least 30 minutes of exercise 3-4 times per week.  Exercise for weight loss success!
